What's in store for Toronto's Yonge & Sheppard?
According to an application filed with the city of Toronto, the real estate giant RioCan is seeking approval on its plan to add 368 condo apartments on the North East corner of Yonge and Sheppard. Although no details were given in the application on the buildings height or how many building there will be, word is already spreading of commercial tenants of the Shepard Centre looking for new homes, including Cineplex Odeon.
Redevelopment projects of this nature are few and far between right now but with the shortage of land in Toronto
and the GTA we'll start seeing them become a lot more common in the years ahead.
